Jesús Bustamante (jesvs)
Jesús Bustamante, known professionally as jesvs, is an Ecuadorian singer-songwriter based in Canada. His skilled lyricism, catchy melodies, and adept guitar playing allow him to share his experiences with a global audience. By blending tropical rhythms, jazz, and traditional love ballads, jesvs takes listeners on a journey of romance, hope, and vulnerability. He is currently completing his music studies at Seneca Polytechnic. All his releases are composed and written by Bustamante himself and are produced by HAZYFACE PRODUCTION (Canada) and Altamar Sonido (Ecuador) and are published under BUSTAJ MUSIC AND MEDIA.

Jesús Bustamante is born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
2009
Jesús displays his first glimpses of musical talent during a Mother's Day Celebration. Surprising his family and even himself, he begins to sing as a hobby
February 2013
Jesús and his family move to Toronto, Canada in search of a better life. He begins singing in church choir, and learning basic guitar techniques. He still lives in the Greater Toronto Area.
September 2019
After finishing high school, Jesús decides to study an undergrad in the Schulich School of Business. Here he specializes in Marketing and Statistics
2020
Throughout the pandemic, Jesús began working on various personal music projects to keep himself sharp at his craft. Including starting an instagram account called @bustaj.covers, which later turned to @bustaj.music
2023
Jesús moves to Lille, France to finish his last semester of business school. He starts to busk to stay afloat financially. Sleeping on buses, crashing on friend's apartments, and doing whatever he needs to survive, he begins to find joy in the struggle through songwriting. He begins posting his original work on his covers accounts.
Beginning of 2024
Determined to make music his livelihood, Jesús starts partnering up with producers and live musicians, and releases his first single alongside HAZYFACE PRODUCTION: TENTÁNDOME.
Mid 2024
Jesús assembles the band Sonido GTA alongside Luis Rodriguez. He begins to perform with them in live festivals in Toronto, Hamilton, Barrie, and across the Greater Toronto Area.
End of 2024
After 9 single releases, Jesús partners up with HAZYFACE PRODUCTION once again to create Geranios II, an EP outlining his childhood in Ecuador. He also rebrands himself from "bustaj" to "jesvs"
